Uganda is a primate haven. The country's various protected areas are host to over ten primate species, including the endangered chimpanzee. The prime chimpanzee tracking areas are the Kibaale Forest, which alone hosts 8 species of primate, The Semiliki Valley Wildlife Reserve, and the Chambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
